Welcome

to Group Rowland

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to my group page. We create, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences for science students.

As a research biochemist turned teaching-focused academic, my goal is to help students get the most out of their science education and their science education research. I teach multiple courses in the areas of biochemistry, genetics, and biology, build new educational experiences for students, and mentor other academics in their teaching endeavours. My group helps with building and researching new ways of teaching. We are located at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, but we work across Australia and internationally.

We are a small, friendly, agile group who welcome newcomers; I always try to make space for interested, creative, dedicated researchers in our team, either as students (for-credit or volunteer) or as visiting scholars.

Take a look around, and if you would like to work with us on one or more of our projects, please let me know!

Kind regards, Susan
